
The iSAFT SpaceFibre Front-End provides SpaceFibre data interfaces with advanced asynchronous transmission and traffic generation capabilities that simulates SpaceFibre devices or instruments, enabling S/C integration tests before the availability of Flight Models.
Further to the built-in recording function for received / transmitted packets (spy function), the system also supports a unique feature, raw SpaceFibre capture, which allows SpFi physical link capturing and decoding of SpFi characters for full network debugging.
The system supports 4 – 8 electrical and optical SpaceFibre ports (configured at 1, 1.25, 2, 2.5, 3.125, 6.25 Gbps), RMAP/CPTP protocols, connection to Central Checkout Systems (CCS) and can also be combined in the same unit with other data networks (SpaceWire, 1553, CAN, WizardLink, etc.).
The system is fully compliant to the general EGSE requirements for space missions and relevant ECSS standards. It is based on the iSAFT graphical tool chain, for the configuration & management and can be controlled either from the local GUI or remotely through programming APIs. It is a powerful device for the validation of on-board data networks at early stages, minimizing costs and schedule.
The iSAFT SpaceFibre Front-End is offered in rackmount 2U form factor.
